5 months & Mother's Day

Lily Claire turned 5 months young on April 24th (Easter) so I am a little late posting this but it has been wild around here the past few weeks. My classes started today(master's degree) so it is about to get a little more hectic than ever!!

Let me just say that we absolutely cannot believe that Lily is 5 months! Time truly flies by when you are having fun and that's just what we are doing! She is more fun than ever right now...rolling over constantly (she will NOT stay on her back anymore), grinning and giggling, playing the tickle monster, and eating 3 meals a day of baby food! She is such a "ham"...she thinks that she is the cutest thing ever (and she is) and she is a camera hog! She sees the camera come out and she is all about it, smiling and giggling, putting on a show to be exact! I mean just take a look at our Easter pictures, we were able to get so many good ones because she LOVES it, which makes me very happy considering I love to take pictures especially of her!

Mother's Day 2011

My very first mother's day....where do I even begin!?! First of all I had a 3 day weekend to spend with my princess so that made it even better! Friday Lily and I spent the day lounging around the house playing inside and out (which makes her very happy). Friday night we did a little shopping for the both of us and went out to eat with my mom and my friend Shelley! Saturday Lily joined my mom & I at Fancy Nails for us to get manicures and pedicures! That afternoon Zach, Lily, & I visited with friends and later cooked out for dinner! And best of all, Sunday morning we went to church, had lunch, and the three of us spent the day together! I love when the three of us can spend the entire day together! Sunday night my family, Ken & Fran, and a couple of our friends came over and we all had dinner together! There is nothing I cherish more than spending time with family and them getting to see Lily grow up! Needless to say I couldn't have asked for a better 1st Mother's Day! Spending my 3 day weekend with friends and family was just what I needed!

Happy Easter! (better late than never!)

Lily's first Easter was a great one! We celebrated Easter on Saturday because Zach & Bryan both had to work Easter Sunday. All of my family joined together at my parents' house to eat and celebrate our Christ and Savior. First, Zach, Lily, and I took our Easter pictures...if I do say so myself they turned out fantastic! Here are a few of my favorites...

After taking pictures my family arrived and we began getting dinner ready. We had a great time visiting with everyone!

On Sunday, Zach had to work...he ended up getting off at 12 and was able to come spend the day with me and Lily! Easter morning Lily and I got dressed and ready for her first Easter Sunday at church! My mom went with us to church and we had lunch afterwards. When Zach got home we played in the yard and grilled out with friends that night! It was a very special Easter weekend and we are so glad that we were able to spend it with my family and our friends!

4 months & vacation

Lily Claire is four months old now... time has certainly passed quickly. I waited until after her 4 month checkup to post this because I wanted to post her stats! Lily Claire weighs 14 lbs, 9 oz and she is 23 1/4 inches long! She is very close to sitting up all by herself! She has tried cereal, bananas, and green beans! Here are her four month pictures...

This past weekend she went on her first trip and to her first wedding! We traveled to Americus, GA to Zachs cousins wedding! We were able to visit with Meme (Lily's great grandmother), Gloria, & Carlene (Lily's great-great Aunts) and lots of cousins!! Meme hasn't seen Lily since she was a few weeks old so as you can imagine she was VERY excited to see her!! We had a great weekend with Zach's family and were so happy to be able to go visit!! Sneak Peek

Lily Claire and I had pictures done Monday....Joe Jones came to our house and spent the morning capturing our mother/daughter moments! We had a blast and Lily did a great job! He sent me a sneak peek picture so I thought I would share it with everyone...

Happy 3 Months!!!

Lily Claire,
You are 3 months old now! I cannot believe how fast time has passed! You have grown so much in the last month and it seems like you change each day! You love to "talk" to anyone you can find, during tummy time you like to scoot with your feet but refuse to use your arms, your favorite thing to do is stand up and take little steps up your daddy's chest! You love to eat and usually eat about 6 oz each time. You like to shop...thank goodness because mommy & Gram like to shop too! You love to see your cousin, Will. He makes you smile when he talks to you and touches your cheeks! Will calls you "Wi" and when he gives you hugs he says, "Aw Wi"! It is so cute and you love it! You are such a big girl now and it seems like just yesterday we were packing the car up to head to the hospital!

We are so incredibly blessed to have you Lily Claire! We cannot remember what life was like without you because you have brought so much love and joy into our hearts! Happy 3 months Lily Claire, you are our little "diva" and we love you so much!

Happy Valentine's Day

Lily Claire's first Valentine's day has been a wonderful day! It was beautiful outside so me and her went for a stroll in the neighborhood! She enjoyed being outside and riding in her stroller!

Meme (Zach's grandmother) sent her first great-granddaughter a Valentine's present! She sent a white blanket with a pink monogram and an adorable white bear! I took a few pictures of Lily Claire and her gifts from her Meme!

If only she would have parted with the pacie!

Gram & PawPaw gave Lily Claire two outfits, I can't wait for her to wear them this summer!!

Lily Claire also received a card from her mommy & daddy, a stuffed animal, and a "Drama Queen" box of candy(Zach picked this out because that is what he calls her! He said that he would eat the candy for her!! :) )

Happy 2 Months!

Lily Claire is 2 months!!! I cannot believe how fast time has passed by! It seems like yesterday we were going to our first doctor appointment after we found out we were expecting our first child! Now, our sweet baby has already been here for 2 months! I will never forget the first time I saw her beautiful little face! I especially won't forget these first little smiles! They will make your heart melt!! :)

Zach took Lily Claire to her 2 month check-up today while I was at work :( She weighs 11lbs, 2 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long! She hasn't grown any in length since last month. She had to get a few shots but she hasn't been fussy so far tonight!

For those of you who haven't heard Lily Claire will have a baby girl cousin to play with in May! Will is going to be a big brother! :) Will loves playing with Lily Claire when Gram has both of them! He will have to look out for Lily Claire & his sister as they grow up!
